Description:

The Plum Grove Historical Site was the original home of Iowa's first Territorial Governor Robert Lucas, and his wife Friendly Lucas. Today, the home still boasts the beautiful brick, Greek-Revival architecture and has been furnished with authentic period pieces of 1844 - 1853 period of American history. The historic residence is located in the south section of downtown, near Oak Grove Park.
